Thank you to whoever promoted the idea of having art in hospitals. There is much to look at as one waits for the consultant’s call, or trundling down the corridors from one department to another, little gems catch your eye, although you don’t always have time to stop and consider.
Down a quiet corridor at St Mary’s Hospital at Newport on the Isle of Wight, I came actross a large panel consisting of embroidered Island scenes.
The combination of a narrow passageway, a skylight and overhead lighting makes photography difficult
…but it is worth the effort.
They are tiny reminders of the variety of scenery around this small island
The everchanging sea,
A breath taking landscape
Woodland
Passing details.
I would have neither the patience nor the skill to create these small pictures of a lovely world. Thank you to whoever did so.
They are just great. Someone so dedicated is hard to find. Thank you for sharing the pictures.
My pleasure
